Brian lettered all four years in both football and basketball for the Dragons and made history in 1978 as the first Southlake Carroll football player to earn all-state honors. On the basketball court, Brian was a dominating player, while also excelling in Track & Field as a two-time regional qualifier and district champion in the discus.
His outstanding athletic achievements earned him the prestigious 3 time C-Award and an athletic scholarship to Stephen F. Austin University. Brian graduated from Carroll in 1979.
Brian’s passion for Carroll and its commitment to excellence and integrity runs deep—it’s at the heart of who he is. Known for his big heart, generosity, and devotion to the Dragon community, he remains a loyal supporter of Dragon Nation and its many programs, especially those involving alumni. He has served on the Carroll Education Foundation and is a proud charter member of The Tradition: The Dragon Alumni Network.
In 2019, Brian was honored with the Jay Armstrong Award for Outstanding Alumni. A true living legacy, Brian represents the early traditions and strong foundation of Carroll—showing us all what it truly means to be a Dragon.
