Ross Stripling

Ross Stripling made a significant impact on the baseball field. He delivered exceptional performance, achieving a perfect 14–0 record with a 1.60 ERA. Over 107 innings, he amassed 156 strikeouts, leading the Dallas/Fort Worth area in this category. His remarkable season earned him first-team all-state honors and contributed to the Dragons’ impressive run to the state championship game, where they finished as runners-up. ​

Stripling’s high school achievements laid a strong foundation for his collegiate career at Texas A&M University, where he continued to develop his pitching prowess and become an All-American. Selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fifth round of the 2012 MLB Draft, Stripling made his major league debut in 2016. He was named a National League All-Star in 2018. Over his MLB career, he has played for the Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, and Oakland Athletics, compiling a 40–54 record with a 4.17 ERA and 741 strikeouts over nine seasons.  Ross made his world series debut in 2017 for the Dodgers.  Ross was inducted into the Texas A&M hall of fame in 2024.
