Tallie Thasher

Tallie Thrasher is one of the most accomplished softball players in Southlake Carroll history, leaving a lasting impact on the Dragons program from 2002 to 2006. A dominant offensive force throughout her career, Thrasher earned First-Team All-State honors twice and was named District Offensive Player of the Year three times. She was consistently recognized among the top players in North Texas, earning multiple All-Area and All-Star selections while helping lead Carroll deep into the playoffs.

Known for her elite hitting ability and power at the plate, Thrasher posted remarkable statistics, including a .585 batting average as a junior and .500 as a senior. She also made program history early in her career by hitting the first two grand slams in Carroll softball history. Her consistency, leadership, and production established her as one of the premier hitters to come through the program.

Following her standout high school career, Thrasher continued her success at the University of Texas, where she became one of the most efficient hitters in Longhorn softball history. During her collegiate career, she earned All-Big 12 honors twice, was recognized as an NFCA All-Region selection, and received multiple Academic All-Big 12 honors. She also earned Big 12 Player of the Week accolades and was named MVP of the 2008 Spring Fling Tournament.

By the end of her career at Texas, Thrasher ranked among the program’s all-time leaders, including No. 1 in slugging percentage and on-base percentage, and No. 2 in both batting average and home runs—cementing her legacy as one of the top offensive players in school history.

After her playing career, Thrasher continued to give back to the game as a coach and educator, mentoring the next generation of student-athletes.
