Trevor Tacker was a standout athlete at Carroll High, where he excelled in baseball, basketball and football. Born on March 19, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, Tacker graduated from Carroll High School in 1999. Trevor was a force on the football field as wide receiver and on the court for the Dragon basketball team. Trevor made his mark as a right-handed pitcher for the Dragon baseball team and was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 43rd round of the 1999 MLB June Amateur Draft. Opting to further develop his skills, he attended McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas, before being drafted again in the 28th round of the 2000 MLB June Amateur Draft by the New York Yankees.
Tacker’s professional baseball career spanned from 2001 to 2004, during which he played for teams including the Staten Island Yankees and the Windy City ThunderBolts. Trevors career was cut short due to injury in 2004.
Following his playing career, Tacker has remained active in the Southlake community. He has served as the Vice President of Dragon Youth Baseball and coached youth teams, contributing to the development of young athletes in the area.
